ECM Synchronika II Espresso Machine

The ECM Synchronika II is a significant improvement over the very popular Synchronika.  It is a double boiler espresso machine that combines attention to details, superior workmanship and German engineering.  It is the flagship of ECM's home line and is one of the most refined and sought out prosumer espresso machine on the market.  The dual independently operated PID controlled boilers allow for optimum extraction of any coffee type or roast style. The commercial grade rotary pump draws from the machines internal water reservoir or allows for the machine to be plumbed in directly to the water supply.  Also included are the ergonomic and weight balanced angled portafilters with metal ends that ECM is known for.

One of the most notable improvements in the Synchronika II is its rapid heat-up technology. Additional heating cartridges in the ECM brew group allow for an extremely short 6.5-minute heat-up phase for the group head, with the entire machine ready in about 9-10 minutes. This significant reduction in warm-up time enhances the machine's convenience for daily use.

The user interface has also been completely redesigned, featuring a convenient rotary dial for navigation and adjustment, paired with a discreet OLED display. This upgrade allows for easier access to settings and provides clear visibility of important information like temperatures, shot timers, and machine status. The Synchronika II also introduces programmable features such as automatic switch-on and switch-off times, enhancing convenience and energy efficiency.

The ECM Synchronika II is engineered and built in Germany; resulting in a very well built and reliable espresso machine.

Features:

  • ECM patented E61 Group Head: The E61 brew head design has been around for over 50 years, but ECM significantly improved it in technology and design with their stainless steel mushroom.  The E61 group is known for its reliability and temperature stability due to heavy brass head combined with a thermosyphon system keeping the group head hot.
  • Rapid Heat-Up Technology: Features a directly heated brew group, achieving operational readiness in just 6.5 minutes for the group head and 9-10 minutes for the entire system
  • Dual Boiler: Two PID controlled stainless steel boilers, one for steam and hot water delivery and one for the coffee extraction. A system studied to grant higher temperature stability and to allow the simultaneous delivery of coffee and steam.
  • Pressure Gauges: The two pressure gauges allow you to control both the pressure of the steam boiler and the pressure during coffee extraction. They are a great feedback tool which let you better understand your machine and improve your espresso making skills.
  • Joystick Wands Control:  The joystick, also called lever or push valve, locks in position for immediate full steam power.
  • No Burn Steam and Water Wand:  Both the steam and water wands are insulated so that they can be manipulated without the risk or burning your fingers.  Milk also doesn't stick to insulated steam wands as much as regular ones.
  • Rotary Pump: The commercial grade rotary pump draws from the machine's internal water reservoir or allows for the machine to have a direct water connection from the water supply.
  • Smart Energy Management: Includes programmable auto on/off functionality and ECO mode for optimal energy efficiency, plus a shot counter and cleaning reminder for maintenance tracking
  • Professional tamper:   Comes standard with a stainless steel tamper instead of the cheap and flimsy plastic tamper typically included with espresso machines,
